Most people come to enjoy the sunset when they are in the Sahara. One day, me and my assistant were sitting on top of the big dune and suddenly came this guy on this cross bike, racing to the top.When he had to go down he was a bit hesitating, it's a damn high dune...

Misty morning

 

One early morning I walked with my "assistant" and saw mist coming up. I went quickly home to pick up the camera and managed to shoot still the last moment of this beautiful light. Few minutes later the mist was gone. 

Beauty of the desert

When people think of the Sahara, they say it's just a place with sand.
Nothing more, nothing less. But the shapes and lines you can find there, are
stunning...Not any landscape is formed by such a a great design.

Monster cloud

One evening when we stayed at a beautiful beach on Keffalonia Island, the clouds were moving very slow and making some amazing shapes.

Something abstract

 

Sometimes you can see beautiful details when you look down. This shot was taken on the same place as the next picture, so the copper mine in Spain. This is a small detail from sand and clay in water which was coloured red by the minerals in the ground.

Spectacular sunset next to an old copper mine. Extreme rainfal had formed a small lake with red coloured water. The water got it's colour from the minerals in the ground. The whole place looked like a moon-landscape...

Portugal West Coast

 We stayed a few nights on this amazing spot in early May. In the evening the tide was low and together with this very colourful sunset it was like we got a painting presented in front of us. Words can't describe the beauty of this scenery, only a picture can try to come close to that feeling...

Great VW!

Someone left this great Volkswagen in a small harbour in Pythagorio, Samos Island. The window was open and a cat had moved in...not a bad place to be for a street cat!

Spring water in Greek village

 Everyone knows the Blue and White houses from Greek holiday cards. Overlooked are those places which are painted year after year in different colours. When time goes by you get a nice mixer of colour.

Porkkala summer night

Porkkala is our favourite spot to relax. Very close to the city, but still so peaceful. The structure of the rocks is very special, different minerals have formed lines and patterns which are a peace of art on their own.

Sahara, Morocco

We arrived in the Sahara at the same time as a sand storm. Normally visiters don't like this kind of weather, but I was very happy with this. The wind had made really beautiful patterns in the sand.

Portugal in Black & White

 

 

The West and South coast of Portugal have some amazing cliffs and rocks.

This is in my opinion the most impressive coastline of South Europe. You could

 just sit for days and look sunset after sunset. Just WOW!
